As I swim around the harbour in search of the perfect spot to beach myself and soak up the suns warmth, I am distracted by a shiny thing-a-ma-jig shifting around on the sea floor. I swim down excited to see what new treasure I may have discovered today! Is it a ring!? I think soo, I reach to pick it out of the sand only to realise it's quite heavy. I try to pull, and nothing happens. I shift the sand from around the ring, more shine is exposed. I dig my hands around it and pull up to find.... no longer a ring... but a heavy sand filled beverage can. Ugh! To my disappointment, One mans trash was NOT another's treasure.
As I encounter similar experiences more often than not, I have decided to fight against the man. Man made products are ending up in beautiful places, causing harm to, and killing many life forms around the world. My goal is to save myself, and all other mysteries of the sea. By collecting all the "thing-a-ma-bobs" I come in contact with and disposing of them in the proper way. The team helping to "Save Sirena" is on a mission to SAVE THE BEACH, SAVE THE OCEAN, SAVE THE PLANET.
